What do you do when you make the choice that can change the destiny of your entire life...

The thing is it wasn’t my choice, I didn’t choose to live this life, I know you feel the same. It sucks, it’s unfair. Now it’s up to you to choose to pick up the pieces and move on.

Friend, here’s the thing, you will move on. But, you will move on, with the weight of grief.

With both happiness for the milestones you and your family achieve, and the sadness of your loved one absent from the scene.

You will move on and think things are going up, then you’ll witness a child embrace her father, and fall apart.

Friend, it’s ok.

You have permission to feel all your feelings. You are allowed to show yourself grace through every achievement and melt down. It’s o.k. to look in the mirror and love yourself even the dark side will tell you that you should feel guilty for smiling.

You deserve to love yourself. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to press on, with the weight of grief balanced and not feel so much like a chained ball at your ankle. Learn to do the things. I’m getting ready to show you how I am for not only myself, but both my girls.
