The last 2 weeks I've been a little hard on myself. Not appreciating my little wins, or even that they exist.
My expectation of myself can be really high and honestly what I've come to realize is that's ok, but when I don't exceed them, that's ok too. I know I try my best, and that is what's most important.
And ya know what, YOU ARE TOO!
We're all just doing the best we can in this life. You must show yourself grace and recognize your wins.
BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
Maintain your habits for personal wellness. There are 4 areas to focus on, mental, physical, spiritual, and social. Even if you just create 1 habit to develope these areas of life in a healthy, meaningful manner YOU'RE MAKING PROGRESS!
I say this again, SHOW YOURSELF GRACE.
You're not going to feel like doing all the things, so don't beat yourself up when you take a personal day. But stay committed, even in the smallest ways.
Journal, and write to your loved one, go for a walk, relax and meditate, these are a few things I do and I recommend to my clients.
Also, face grief head on, be intentional with looking it in the face every day, and processing it. Accept the whatever stage of grief you are in every single day and face it. Write it out, talk it out, I've even found myself painting out emotions. Whatever helps YOU!
Time combined with working through these stages and facing grief head on, you will starts to feel the weight of this load is not so heavy, but you have to take care of you first. That's why we do what we do and work one on one with ladies learning to live this life after loss!
If you haven't had someone to talk to please don't hesitate to reach out, please see our schedule and set a connection call with me.
